BACK TO SCHOOL = BACK TO BOWS. in all the colors of fall. and if you don’t have a mannequin, you can wear them in your hair…no way! that’s genius! ps, do you like my bunhead? I do.
new bows just in time for spring at Agora, Helix, Community, and Ohh, Boy! wooooeeeeahhhhhhh! yay spring. yay bows. yay spring bows. you wanna know what else is exciting? my good friend Sarah Stuckey will be traveling to Haiti in April so before her trip she had the most wonderful idea to make hairbows to distribute while she’s down there! we’re doing it toms shoes style. for every bow sold this month Sarah and I will make one for a beautiful lady in Haiti. plus all the profits from sales will go towards helping Sarah pay for her trip. so join us in this project and buy a bow!

Treasurebox of Bows is at Community, Athens’ newest vintage boutique right above Espresso Royale!

AFTER. 1 week and 2 days later. all I have to say is thank God for snow. 3 extra days to prepare. and what a week it was. I’ve been consumed with all things bridal. and I must say it feels good to be done. maybe now I can knit something. or finish that cross-stitch moustache that was supposed to be a christmas present but looks like it will in fact be an mlk present. hmmmmm. I am quite exhausted really but I can now say that I have successfully survived a bridal show. that’s right. success lives here. and it was quite fun indeed. many thanks to Brittany and Aubrey and Lindsey for being by my side and supporting me. it meant the whole world to me. that’s all. I’m going to bed.
Atelier bridal show is only but a week away and as you can see, I have a lot of work to do. Consider this the BEFORE photo. Come see me next Sunday, January 16, at Hotel Indigo if you want to see the AFTER. no really. I have a good feeling about this. I’ve never been more excited about weddings IN MY LIFE. I am currently in a state of inspirational bridal bliss thanks to little Athens treasures like Modern Star and Reed’s Odds n Ends. I promise I won’t even be this excited when it comes time to plan my own wedding. lace! hats! gloves! veils! Oh my goodness it’s a treasurebox of every girl’s dream come true!
I have to be perfectly honest. these fellas didn’t necessarily come running at me throwing their monies in my face begging for a handmade crochet bowtie. no. that is not what happened. twas quite the opposite actually. twas I who begged their handsome faces to sport these crochet creations. so I just want to say thank you, ben and cary, for supporting my vision of a better world with more bowties. I’d also like to say a quick shout out to Main Street Yarns in Watkinsville where I purchase all my yarn. It is absolutely a dream come true. It’s housed in a cozy red barn where there’s always someone willing to lend a helping hand and plenty of beer in the fridge. In fact I’ve decided that my new year’s resolution is to spend more time there. And did I mention the owner’s name is DEANNA (well, de-anna. but still.)?? It’s a sign. we’re meant to be together. me and the yarn barn happily ever after til the end of time.
